The Department of Mathematics of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, Anaipalayam, celebrated Pi Day on 14.03.2026 at 2.00 PM in Keerthi Hall with great enthusiasm.

The program began with a welcome address by J. Selva Bharathi, I B.Sc Mathematics, who warmly welcomed the respected faculty members and dear students to the celebration.

The event continued with an informative video presentation explaining the concept and importance of Pi, which helped students understand the significance and real-life applications of the mathematical constant π.

Following the video, a PowerPoint presentation on Pi was delivered by B. Sowmiya, III B.Sc Mathematics. She clearly explained the history, value, and interesting facts about Pi, making the session engaging and informative.

A Math Riddle session was conducted by B. Sowmiya, where students actively participated and answered the riddles enthusiastically. Small prizes were distributed to students who gave correct answers.

An exciting Mathematics Game was organized by M. Kavya, II B.Sc Mathematics. The game encouraged students to think quickly and apply their mathematical skills. The winners were appreciated with small prizes.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by K. Shanthi, II B.Sc Mathematics, who expressed gratitude to the management, faculty members, and students for making the Pi Day celebration successful and memorable.

The event created awareness about the importance of mathematics and inspired students to develop a greater interest in the subject.
