Pavai Arts & Science College for Women, Anaipalayam, in association with Periyar University’s NSS and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), successfully organized a Bone Mineral Density Screening Camp at Keerthi Hall on Thursday, 29 January 2026.

The community health camp aimed to create awareness about bone health, knee pain, joint disorders, and osteoporosis. The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. and witnessed active participation from the local community and faculty members from the five adopted villages: Chandrasekarapuram, Ayeepalayam, Kakkaveri, Goundampalayam, and Koneripatti.

The camp offered free orthopaedic consultations, diagnosis for bone and joint problems, expert guidance on arthritis, knee pain, and muscle disorders, along with other free medical services. More than 173 villagers benefited from the programme.

The event was guided by Senior Principal Dr. N. Ezhili and Principal Dr. M. Revathi, with the support of NSS Programme Officers Mrs. T. Amutha and UBA Coordinator Dr. R. Poongodi. The camp emphasized early detection and preventive care for bone-related ailments and received positive feedback for promoting health awareness and social responsibility.
