Entrepreneur Development Cell conducted a programme

Entrepreneur Development Programme was conducted in Keerthi Hall at 2.00p.m. The program commenced with the prayer song. Dr.J.Thavamani, Principal, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women welcomed the gathering.

Ms.M.K.Mekavarshini of I M.A English introduced the chief guest. The inaugural address was given by Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College. He explained about the benefits of entrepreneurship and various startups initiated by the students of Paavai Institutions. One of the students Ms.Kavitha produced for women and Ms.Sathya who invented women safety footwear. Business is not with huge capital invested but it is the attitude which matters. PU EDC Hub supports and guides the entrepreneurs, there are also plenty of hands to give financial support. Imagination is much more important for the entrepreneurs.

Dr.V.R.Palanivelu in his special address he explained the various aspects of entrepreneurship. In 2010 Tamilnadu State Government initiated a training scheme for young entrepreneurs. He narrated the story of Ida Scudder, founder of the Christian Medical College (CMC), how a 16 years old girl brought a new hope and dignity to women in South India. A young entrepreneur should train themselves and should be independent. He also explained about the subsidies given by PU EDC Hub for entrepreneurs. Exports were done by many entrepreneurs from the rural parts of South India. It is important to whom we are selling the products. Business is only for making profit but entrepreneurship is for the satisfaction of the customer. Finally he quoted a short film ‘Wagah’ how Indians were treated by other countries. Indians have more responsibilities in their job.

Dr.A.Apdhul Kathar felicitated the gathering. In his felicitation, he explained the outcomes and benefits of entrepreneurship. An entrepreneur should spend more time in reading books relating to entrepreneur development. Young entrepreneurs should develop their skills.

The program came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Mrs.F.Arul Jeevitha Mary, Assistant Professor, Department of English followed by the National Anthem.
