An awareness program on “Career Opportunities in Company Secretaryship” was organized by the Commerce Association for all UG and PG students (Commerce and Business Administration) at Keerthi Hall, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, on November 4, 2024. Lt. G. Prema delivered an engaging session, providing a brief introduction to the role of a Company Secretary. She highlighted the significant career prospects in the field and its relevance to commerce courses. The session was highly informative and effectively illuminated the responsibilities and opportunities available for Company Secretaries. The event saw enthusiastic participation from almost all UG and PG students and faculty members.
The session concluded with valuable insights shared by the Principal, Dr. N. Ezhili, who contributed her expertise on the subject, further enriching the program.
Periyar University conducted a Teachers’ Conference 2024 in collaboration with the Salem Chapter of the ICSI on October 22, 2024, in the Senate Hall of Periyar University. Lt. G. Prema, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, attended the conference and gained valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of a Company Secretary. She later utilized this knowledge to create awareness about the career opportunities in Company Secretaryship among UG and PG students as well as faculty members.
