The Department of NUTRUTION AND DIETETICS conducted an association activity ‘FUN WITH NUTRITION’ at Keerthi hall on 11.10.2023 in Pavai Arts and Science College for Women. B. R Melvina of II B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics welcomed the gathering.The students of the department of Physics, Chemistry, Geology, English, Commerce, Maths and tamil were participated in this activity.
In this programme, activities like Quiz, Connections, Blindfold challenges were conducted. The events were conducted based on the topic related to Healthy food choices and nutrition. In the first activity Quiz session, the department of Geology students answered more questions and won the prize. In the second activity Connections, students identified the names of diseases and foods which were projected through ppt. The third was Blindfold Challenges, in which the students identified the ingredients through touching them. Through this activity, students understood the importance of specific food ingredients and functions in our body.
Animated videos on BALANCED DIET and FOOD PYRAMID were displayed at the end of the activity to entertain the students. S. Deshna of III B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics proposed the vote of thanks.
